Multiple Solutions Employment Specialists is funded by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) to assist people with neurological conditions to obtain and maintain employment.
Services available to jobseekers include:
Initial needs assessment by an Occupational Therapist
Vocational assessment and careers counselling
Functional, fine motor and cognitive assessments
Identification of training needs
Assistance organising suitable training
Resume preparation
Assistance writing application letters and completing forms
Interview skills training
Assistance organising work experience
Personal presentation training
Access to use of the Supported Wage System
Information of disability related issues, e.g. Disability Discrimination and Occupational Health and Safety
Liaison with employers to ensure acceptance and understanding of worker needs
Workplace assessment and access to the Workplace Modification Scheme
Counselling support for disability related employment issues
Referral to and liaison with other services where appropriate
Post placement support
